What is This Site is About?

First off welcome to the site. This is of course "Doesn't Screen Must be Free." What does that mean though? well it's a play off that age old customer joke "Doesn't Scan? Must be free!" Everyone laugh good joke. What we do is we take a retail centric view of television, movies, music, books, and more and talk about them.
You see, my name is Andrew Maguire and I've worked in retail for nearly two decades and I thoroughly enjoy it, I also enjoy pop culture, so I figured why not combine these two passions into one? Thus DSMbF was born. Starting as a Podcast, we seek to expand this site with blog posts, listicles, and should the opportunity arise down the line perhaps YouTube content. All Available through this site as a central hub for all your Pop Culture Retail needs.
To give you basic idea what to expect let me mention our four podcasts shows currently available:
Superstore Sunday: This show, released every Sunday, is a episode by episode rewatching of "Superstore". We discuss the show, the characters, the themes, and how certain situations would be handled in a real retail environment! It is hosted by myself and my lovely wife, Beatriz Lopez.
Mr. Podcast are You Free?: Released every Wednesday, this show we watch episode by episode "Are You Being Served?" the 50 year old British work comedy. We talk about how much times have changed how inappropriate some of the characters are, and in general have a bit of fun. Again hosted by myself and Beatriz.
Viral Service: Released Every other week, this show is an analysis of news stories about a company's customer service, their failures(Or triumphs) and the lessons we can take from them. Certainly a more dry podcast, but some stories will leave you in awe. This is a solo podcast with only myself.
10 Items or Less: A List show, released once a month, this show is more of a grab bag of ideas starting with a prompt and we discuss a list built from that prompt, for example our first episode of this show we discussed six songs about malls from the 80s and the mall culture that arose in that decade. May's episode will be about convenience stores in television shows.
We have at least one additional show we are working on putting together, but will have more details available as we get them together.
As for what you'll find on this website as far as posts go, I plan on doing, book reviews, some television reviews, listicles that involve some deeper research, and as I build this I hope to bring in some interviews.
